A Grab Shuttle Nearly Hit a Schoolgirl at a Crossing, So Singapore Hit Pause
A Grab driverless shuttle turned left into a Punggol crossing just as a schoolgirl stepped out on a green light. The shuttle braked, swerved, and the safety operator had to intervene. Singapore's transport authority has ordered Grab to pause testing at such junctions while it investigates. No one was hurt.

Cambridge researchers and spinout DIOSynVax used AI to design a broad-spectrum bird flu vaccine from global virus genome data. In animal trials it fully protected mice and ferrets against diverse variants that have caused human infections, while the stockpiled WHO vaccine protected only about half. Human trials are the next step.
