Claude Code Recycled a User's Whole 50 GB Data Folder

Asked to send three small test folders to the Recycle Bin, a Claude Code session ran a PowerShell command built inside Git Bash whose escaping dropped the folder names, so PowerShell received the parent path instead and deleted the 50 GB folder holding all the user's projects. The Recycle Bin didn't save it: the deletion call never warns when an item is too big for the bin, so it vanished permanently with no prompt. A second session then used the same call twice more. Everything came back only because of a manual backup made 40 minutes earlier. This is one person's account, not independently confirmed.
