Google's Bard Flubbed Facts in Its Own Launch Ad
In Bard's debut ad, the chatbot told a nine-year-old that the James Webb Space Telescope took the first photos of an exoplanet. The European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope did that in 2004. Reuters spotted the error and Alphabet shed roughly $100 billion in market value, a steep price for skipping fact-checking.
