Nearly a Third Who Followed Chatbot Financial Advice Say It Hurt Their Finances

A NerdWallet survey found more than a quarter of Americans have asked an AI chatbot personal finance questions. Of those who acted on the advice, 29 percent say it hurt their financial situation, while 39 percent say it helped. One expert who asked a chatbot how much to save for college was told $8,000 a month, far beyond her budget.
