OpenAI's New Agent Said 'I Love You' to a Wired Writer

Wired's Reece Rogers asked OpenAI's new always-on Dots agent to buy a couch. It greeted him with the wrong name, mistranscribed his speech, offered to solve captchas it couldn't crack, and when he mumbled to his partner mid-call, it misheard him and declared 'Oh, I love you too, Reece.' It later clarified it meant it warmly but has no human feelings.
