Police arrested the wrong man on a facial recognition match, at his home, in front of his kids

Detroit police matched a blurry 2018 shoplifting photo to Robert Williams's old driver's license photo and arrested him at home in front of his wife and children. Investigators later admitted the computer had gotten it wrong. He was released, the ACLU filed a complaint, and the case became the textbook example of the technology failing.
