Pandemic-era infrared cameras were supposed to catch fevers at the door, but most couldn't distinguish 35°C from 40°C, and some just reported a reassuring 37°C no matter what. Nothing says public health like a thermometer that always gives you the answer you want.

AI Cameras at a Brooklyn Recycling Plant Recover 89% of Aluminum Cans
Greyparrot's AI cameras above the sorting belts at a Brooklyn recycling plant measured 89% aluminum recovery, nearly double the average U.S. rate. The systems now run in seven U.S. states and more than 20 countries, with 10 to 30% efficiency gains reported at facilities using them.
