The Weather Service Issued a Warning Map With Fake Towns

The National Weather Service office in Missoula posted an AI-generated wind forecast map naming towns that do not exist, including Orangeotild and Whata Bod, Idaho. A Rapid City office's map even carried a Google Gemini watermark. The agency pulled the graphic and said AI is not commonly used for public-facing content.
