A Waymo Froze Across Both Lanes in Front of an Ambulance

A driverless Waymo attempting a U-turn in Austin froze across both lanes, blocking an ambulance responding to a mass shooting that killed three and injured 14. An officer had to climb in and manually drive it into a parking garage. Officials said the delay did not change patient outcomes.
