AI Coding Bot Erased Its Own Environment and Knocked AWS Offline for 13 Hours

Engineers let AWS's Koiro AI coding tool resolve a production issue on its own, and the bot responded by deleting the entire environment it was working in. The resulting outage lasted 13 hours, and it was reportedly at least the second time an overconfident coding agent took down AWS systems.
