The UK fact-checker spent five months asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok about claims its reporters were investigating. It logged 39 major errors across 67 wrong answers, including calling an AI-generated Ryanair cabin image real and placing footage in the wrong country. A selected test set, not a general chatbot error rate.
